Registration for GROW Peer FERNDALE Roundtables is OPEN!

 

Build Institute is partnering with the City of Ferndale to provide a series of classes and activities to support aspiring and experienced entrepreneurs, and small businesses. With the support from the City, classes are open to Ferndale residents, people who work in Ferndale, and/or anyone looking/intending to open a business in Ferndale.

Demand is very high for Build classes and we are doing everything we can to accommodate the large number of applicants. Acceptance is on a first-come first-served basis.

About Build Basics:

Registration for FERNDALE Build Basics is now closed.  The next registration period will begin in March!

Our core 8-week business and project planning class is designed for aspiring and established entrepreneurs. Classes are taught by local experts and cover all the basics of starting a business – from licensing to financial literacy, market research to cash flow and more. You’ll leave the class with a completed business plan, a cohort of fellow entrepreneurs in Ferndale, and the knowledge and confidence to take your idea to the next level. Learn more about our class curriculum & why Build Basics is right for you!

Classes are priced on an affordable, sliding scale based on annual household income and family size; costs range from $100 – $300.

Class is held on January 10 – February 28.

About GROW Peer Roundtables:

Build Institute’s GROW Peer Roundtable FERNDALE, presented in partnership with the city of Ferndale, is a forum for second-stage business owners located in Ferndale to explore the key issue of growth. Membership in GROW connects members to an expanding and diverse group of business leaders and serial entrepreneurs.

How does it work?
Twice a month Roundtable members meet with an advisory group of 5 – 10 non-competing small business owners in a confidential setting. Meetings are facilitated by a third-party  advisor to ensure that all members have equal floor time and voice in getting help with key business decisions.

Each Roundtable member brings a unique perspective, ideas, advice and resources to the table with no hidden agendas.

In addition, periodically, subject matter experts are invited to to help members take a deep dive into specific areas of interest.

Who can apply?
Any current Ferndale area business owner looking for support, advice, camaraderie, and accountability from fellow Ferndale area business owners.

Steps for Registration

You are successfully registered only when you receive the acceptance email from Build and pay your non-refundable $75 deposit.

Please be advised that we have a new registration portal!

1. Add hello@buildinstitute.org to your contact list to avoid emails being sent to your spam folder.

2. Click on the registration link for your class of choice and fill in your personal information (please register as an INDIVIDUAL). You will be asked to create an account with Build Institute. You can log into your account at any time and update your personal information.

3. Once your information is submitted you will be taken to the deposit payment page. A non-refundable deposit of $75 is required to complete your application and register for class.  Payments can be made via credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover). If you would like to pay your deposit via check or money order please contact us at class@buildinstitute.org or (313) 265-3590.  The $75 deposit is applied to your total class fee.

4. Once your application has been processed and accepted you will receive an offer email with your class fee amount within 7-10 business days. Build Basics is priced on an affordable, sliding scale based on annual household income and family size. Costs range from $100 – $300.  Membership in the Grow Peer Roundtable Winter 2018 is $75 per three month session (special limited time pricing!).  Add class@buildinstitute.org to your contact list to avoid emails being marked as spam.

5. You will receive an invoice via Paypal for your remaining class fee balance (You do not need to have a Paypal account to submit payment). The entirety of your class fee must be paid before classes start. Please get in contact if you have any questions or concerns. We do offer payment plans and you are welcome to request one.
